Three editions, and what each one carries.
Every KOBIL module is itself an app on the platform, deployed and run by KOBIL as a service in your tenant. Foundation is the catalogue of those modules. Business opens the same framework to your own teams and carries Company AI, the first capability in the edition that the person doing the work feels rather than the people running it. Complete is the edition for regulated groups: money, several legal entities, retention, residency and support.
STOP PASSWORDS
Foundation
The trust layer, installed inside Outlook, Chrome, Salesforce, SAP and Teams. Every module arrives as a service in your own tenant, deployed and run by KOBIL.
Device-bound identity
The credential lives on the device. Binding happens silently through your MDM, or with a single sign-in where there is no MDM.
Your directory, or ours
Federate Active Directory, Entra ID or any OIDC or SAML provider. No directory yet? The built-in one is ready on day one.
Single sign-on
Into the applications you already run, from the pane, with no second login.
Secure chat
End-to-end encrypted, and external counterparties join without a licence.
Approvals
Raised and cleared in the pane. Confirmed on a phone, a desktop or a hardware token; a phone is never required.
Advanced electronic signature
Unlimited, at the advanced level, on KOBIL technology. Qualified signatures come from a certified partner and are billed per signature.

SEAT CLASSES
Two seats are billed. The rest are free.
A seat is what a person can do, not what their job title says. The split is enforced by capability in the tenant and visible in the admin dashboard, so it can be audited rather than argued about.
BILLED
Desk seat
A person on a managed Windows or macOS device running the background service, with the pane in every licensed host. The desk seat initiates: it sends signature requests, starts workflows, publishes apps where the edition carries them, seals a web page as evidence, and pays where corporate payments is licensed.
BILLED
Frontline seat
Mobile and shared-device only, for the people who never sit at a managed desktop. It participates fully: receives and clears approvals, signs as a signer, uses end-to-end encrypted chat including externals, and uses the apps published in the tenant. No desktop service, and it cannot start a workflow or send a signature request.
FREE AND UNLIMITED
Everyone else
External counterparties, builders, administrators and auditors are free and unlimited at every edition. Anyone outside your company who signs a document, joins an encrypted chat or clears an approval needs no licence, and any licensed desk seat can be granted the builder or admin role at no charge.

Sovereign
A deployment option on Complete, not a fourth edition: a KOBIL-operated single-tenant deployment in a German data centre, with customer-managed encryption keys and white label included.
Quoted per deployment, on a longer minimum term than the shared tenant, because the deployment is yours alone.
ADD-ONS
What sits beside an edition.
A short list, and it does not grow quietly. Corporate payments is the one capability sold as an add-on: it can be added to any edition and it is included for every seat on Complete. Company AI is not sold separately, because it belongs to Business and to everything above it.

Qualified electronic signature
Produced by a certified trust service provider partner. Available at every edition, and never flat-rated.
Signer identity verification
The one-off identity check a qualified signature requires, per signer, valid for five years. Every edition.
White label
Your brand on the desktop service, the pane, the mobile client and the store listings. Business and Complete, included in Sovereign.
Extended audit retention
Each additional 12 months of audit log, up to ten years. Foundation and Business; Complete carries the long-term archive instead.
Additional tenant
A separate tenant for a subsidiary, a brand or a joint venture. Foundation and above.
Sandbox and staging tenant
A non-production tenant to build and test against. Foundation only, included from Business upward.
Premium support
24x7, one-hour response on severity one, named engineer. Foundation and Business; it is already in Complete.
Service identities
An app or a workflow acting without a human behind it. Twenty-five are included in every tenant, at every edition.
SAID PLAINLY
KOBIL is not a qualified trust service provider.
Qualified signatures are produced by a certified trust service provider partner, and they are billed per signature at every edition. They are never flat-rated, never bundled into a seat price and never committed to in an annual value, because the underlying tariff is not ours to fix.
Advanced electronic signature is a different thing: it runs on KOBIL technology, it is unlimited from Foundation upward, and there is no allowance, no pooled quota and no signature line on any quote.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Fair questions, answered here rather than in a meeting.
We already pay Microsoft for identity.
Keep it. Your directory stays the source of truth and KOBIL Enterprise federates to it, so nothing you have bought is displaced. Foundation starts where that identity already is, and adds unlimited advanced electronic signature, end-to-end encrypted chat that includes external counterparties, approvals, and the pane that starts the action inside Outlook, Chrome, Salesforce, SAP and Teams. Single sign-on is in the base edition and never moves up a tier.
How is a frontline seat different from an intranet seat?
It is not an intranet seat. It carries a verified identity on a mobile or shared device, clears approvals, signs documents and runs end-to-end encrypted chat, under the same audit log as the desk. An intranet seat reads what somebody else published. This one acts, and the action is evidence.
Can we take a capability without taking the edition?
Corporate payments, yes, on any edition, and it is included for every seat on Complete. That is a commitment rather than a concession: it may never be made exclusive in order to force an upgrade. Company AI used to be sold that way and no longer is. It sits inside Business, alongside the App Builder, workflows, backend integrations and evidence export. The rest of Complete is the edition itself, because multi-entity governance, the long-term evidence archive, documented data residency and 24x7 support with one-hour response on severity one are how a tenant is run, not features to switch on.
